રાજ્યમાં પ્રતિબંધો મુદ્દે મહત્વની બેઠક યોજાશે. રાજ્યમાં લાગેલા પ્રતિબંધો અને કર્ફ્યૂ મુદ્દે આજ રોજ નિર્ણય લેવાશે. અગાઉ વાવાઝોડાને કારણે 3 દિવસ કર્ફ્યુનો સમય લંબાવ્યો હતો. 19, 20 અને 21 મે સુધી પ્રતિબંધો લંબાવાયા હતા.
ભારત સરકારના ગૃહ મંત્રાલયની માર્ગદર્શિકા સંદર્ભે ગુજરાતના 36 શહેરોમાં વધારાના મર્યાદિત નિયંત્રણો અંગે મુખ્યમંત્રી રૂપાણી દ્વારા જાહેરાત કરાઈ છે. 18મી મે 2021થી રાત્રે 8 વાગ્યાથી સવારે 6 વાગ્યા સુધીના આ રાત્રી કર્ફ્યુનો અમલ તા.21મી મે 2021ની સવારે 6 વાગ્યા સુધી આ શહેરોમાં કરવાનો રહેશે. 8 મહાનગરો સહિત 36 શહેરોમાં રાત્રિના 8 થી સવારના 6 વાગ્યા સુધી કોરોના કરફ્યુ અને વધારાના મર્યાદિત નિયંત્રણો લાગુ રહેશે.
ગુજરાતમાં આવેલા તૌકતે વાવાઝોડા બાદ પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ હવાઈ માર્ગે ગુજરાતની સ્થિતિનું નિરીક્ષણ કર્યું હતું. જે બાદ આજે ગાંધીનગર ખાતેથી મુખ્યમંત્રી વિજય રૂપાણીએ જનતાને સંબોધન કર્યું હતું. જેમાં સૌ પ્રથમ તૌકતે વાવાઝોડાની સ્થિતિનું અવલોકન અને ગુજરાતને આપેલા રાહત પેકેજ માટે મુખ્યમંત્રી વિજય રૂપાણીએ પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીનો આભાર માન્ય હતો.
મુખ્યમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે, PM મોદીએ વાવાઝોડા બાદની સ્થિતિનું ઉંડાણપુર્વક અવલોકન કર્યુ છે. ગુજરાત સરકારની કામગીરી પર PMએ સંતોષ વ્યક્ત કર્યો છે. અને ગુજરાતને પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ હંમેશા ત્વરિત મદદ કરી છે. ઈજાગ્રસ્તોને 50 હજાર, મૃતકોના પરિવારને કેન્દ્ર તરફથી 2 લાખ સહાય અને રાજ્ય સરકાર 4 લાખ રૂપિયા મૃતકના પરિવારને આપશે. આમ એક પરિવારને 6 લાખ રૂપિયાની કુલ સહાય મળશે.
આ વખતનું તૌકતે વાવાઝોડું વિશિષ્ટ પ્રકારનું અને વિનાશકારી હતું. ઊનાના દરિયાપરથી ગુજરાતમાં પ્રવેશ્યું ત્યારે, 200 કિમી પ્રતિ કલાકનો પવન ફૂંકાતો હતો. આવા સમયે શું થશે. તેવી ચિંતા સૌ કોઈના માથે હતી. પરંતુ સરકારના આગોતરા આયોજન અને સમયસરના પગલાના કારણે કોઈ મોટી દુર્ઘટના સર્જાઈ નથી.
