IND Vs ENG: ઇંગ્લેન્ડ પ્રવાસ પર ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારાનું ખરાબ ફોર્મ હેડિંગ્લે ટેસ્ટની પ્રથમ ઇનિંગમાં ચાલુ રહ્યું. ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારા માત્ર 9 બોલમાં એક રન બનાવીને જેમ્સ એન્ડરસનનો શિકાર બન્યો હતો. પૂર્વ દિગ્ગજ બેટ્સમેન બ્રાયન લારાએ ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારાને ખરાબ ફોર્મમાંથી બહાર આવવાની સલાહ આપી છે. બ્રાયન લારા માને છે કે જો ચેતેશ્વર પુજારાને સુધારવો હોય તો તેણે વધુ શોટ મારવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવો પડશે જે તેની સાથે ટીમ ઇન્ડિયા માટે ફાયદાકારક રહેશે.

લારા માને છે કે પૂજારાએ વધુ સારા સ્ટ્રાઇક રેટ સાથે રન બનાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવો જોઈએ. લારાએ કહ્યું, “હું સંયમ સાથે રમવા માટે પૂજારા જેવો બેટ્સમેન ન હતો અને નીચા સ્ટ્રાઈક રેટથી સ્કોર કરતો ન હતો. જો હું કોચ હોત કે પૂજારા સુધરવા માંગતો હોત, તો મેં તેને વધુ શોટ રમવાનું અને goંચું જવા કહ્યું હોત. સ્ટ્રાઇક રેટ પર રન બનાવવાની ભલામણ કરશે. ”

52 વર્ષીય લારાએ સ્વીકાર્યું કે પૂજારાની રમતની શૈલીએ ભૂતકાળમાં ભારતને મદદ કરી છે. પરંતુ લારાએ તેના મતે પુજારાએ ઘણી વખત ઓછા રન બનાવ્યા અંગે ચિંતા વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. લારાએ કહ્યું, “તે પોતાનું કામ કરે છે પણ મને લાગે છે કે જ્યારે તમે આટલી ધીમી બેટિંગ કરો છો ત્યારે ઘણી વસ્તુઓ તમારી ઇનિંગ્સને સ્વિંગ બનાવે છે. તમારે તમારો રસ્તો શોધવો પડશે અને શોટ મારવા પડશે.”

ટીમમાં સ્થાન પર પ્રશ્નો ઉભા થઈ રહ્યા છે

 

હવે ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારાની ટીમમાં ચાલુ રહેવા પર સવાલો ઉભા થઈ રહ્યા છે. ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારાએ ત્રણ વર્ષ પહેલા ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટમાં છેલ્લી સદી ફટકારી હતી. ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારા 2018 માં ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયન પ્રવાસ બાદ ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટમાં કોઇ મોટી ઇનિંગ રમી શક્યો નથી. આ સિવાય ચેતેશ્વર પુજારાની બેટિંગ વધુ ધીમી બની રહી છે તે અન્ય બેટ્સમેનો પર પણ દબાણ વધારવાનું કામ કરી રહી છે.

ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયન પ્રવાસ હોય કે ઈંગ્લેન્ડ પ્રવાસ, ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારાને આઉટ કરવાની પદ્ધતિ એક જેવી જ રહી છે. ચેતેશ્વર પૂજારા વિકેટકીપરના હાથમાં કેચ આપે છે અથવા જમણી ઇનિંગમાં બહાર જતા બોલ પર બેટ મૂકીને સ્લિપ કરે છે. જો પુજારા આગામી ઇનિંગ્સમાં મોટો સ્કોર નહીં બનાવે તો તેને આગામી ટેસ્ટમાંથી પણ બહાર કરી શકાય છે.
