ચીનના વુહાન શહેરના રોગચાળાના કોરોના વાયરસને કારણે ઈન્ડિયન પ્રીમિયર લીગની 21 મી સીઝન મોકૂફ રાખવામાં આવી છે. જોકે, હવે ભારતીય ક્રિકેટ ટીમ 18 જૂનથી ન્યુઝીલેન્ડ સામે શરૂ થનારી વર્લ્ડ ટેસ્ટ ચેમ્પિયનશિપની ટાઇટલ મેચમાં પ્રવેશ કરવા માટે સંપૂર્ણ રીતે તૈયાર છે. આ દરમિયાન ભારતીય ક્રિકેટને લગતા મહત્વના સમાચાર બહાર આવ્યા છે.

આ અંતર્ગત હવે ટીમ ઈન્ડિયા બાંગ્લાદેશના ઈન્ડિયા ટૂર પર જશે અને બે ટેસ્ટ મેચની શ્રેણી રમશે. આ સિવાય ભારતીય ટીમ ત્રણ મેચની વનડે સિરીઝમાં પણ ભાગ લેશે. 7 વર્ષ પછી આ પહેલી વાર હશે જ્યારે ભારતીય ટીમ બાંગ્લાદેશની મુલાકાતે આવશે.જો તમે આઈસીસીના અગાઉના ફ્યુચર ટૂર પ્રોગ્રામને 2013 થી 2018 સુધી જુઓ તો ભારતીય ક્રિકેટ ટીમે 2014 અને 2015 માં બે વાર બાંગ્લાદેશની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. ત્યારબાદથી ટીમ ઈન્ડિયા આ પાડોશી દેશની મુલાકાત લીધી નથી. જો કે, વર્ષ 2022 માં, ટીમ ઈન્ડિયાને બે ટેસ્ટ અને ત્રણ વનડે સિરીઝ રમવા માટે બાંગ્લાદેશ જવું પડશે. તે 2022 માં નવેમ્બરમાં કરવાની દરખાસ્ત છે.

2015 માં, જ્યારે છેલ્લી વખત ભારતીય ટીમે બાંગ્લાદેશ દરમિયાન કર્યું ત્યારે ટીમે ત્યાં એક ટેસ્ટ અને ત્રણ વનડે સિરીઝ રમી હતી.તે જ સમયે, 2015 થી, બાંગ્લાદેશની ટીમે બે વખત ભારતની મુલાકાત લીધી છે. 2017 માં, બાંગ્લાદેશની ટીમ એક ટેસ્ટ મેચ રમવા માટે ભારત આવી હતી, ત્યારબાદ 2019 માં, તેઓ બે ટેસ્ટ મેચ અને ત્રણ ટી -20 મેચની શ્રેણી રમવા માટે ભારત ગયા હતા. આમાંથી એક પરીક્ષણ કોલકાતાના ઇડન ગાર્ડન્સ ખાતે રમવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જે ભારતની પ્રથમ ગુલાબી બોલ પરીક્ષણ પણ હતું.

આ ટેસ્ટ સિરીઝ આઈસીસી વર્લ્ડ ટેસ્ટ ચેમ્પિયનશીપનો પણ એક ભાગ હતો. ESPNcricinfo ના અહેવાલ મુજબ, બાંગ્લાદેશ ક્રિકેટ બોર્ડે 2021 થી 2023 સુધી ક્રિકેટ મેચ માટેના પ્રસારણના અધિકાર વેચી દીધા છે.

ઇંગ્લેન્ડની ટીમ આઈસીસી ટી -20 વર્લ્ડ કપના બરાબર પહેલા ટી -20 અને વનડે સિરીઝ માટે બાંગ્લાદેશની પણ મુલાકાત લેશે. આ ઉપરાંત ન્યુઝીલેન્ડ, પાકિસ્તાન, અફઘાનિસ્તાન અને વેસ્ટ ઈન્ડિઝની ટીમોને જાન્યુઆરી 2023 સુધીમાં બાંગ્લાદેશની મુલાકાત લેવાની પણ દરખાસ્ત છે.
