રોહિત શર્માએ મુંબઈ ઇન્ડિયન્સમાં સમાવિષ્ટ વર્લ્ડકપ ટીમના ખેલાડીઓ અંગે નિવેદન આપ્યું છે. તેમનું કહેવું છે કે આ ખેલાડીઓને આગામી ટી 20 વર્લ્ડ કપ પહેલા લય મળશે.

ઈન્ડિયન પ્રીમિયર લીગની ડિફેન્ડિંગ ચેમ્પિયન મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સે 2021 ની સિઝન જીત સાથે પૂરી કરી. શુક્રવારે અબુ ધાબીમાં રમાયેલી મેચમાં મુંબઈએ હૈદરાબાદ સામે 42 રનની ધમાકેદાર જીત નોંધાવી હતી. જોકે, આ જીત રોહિત શર્માની ટીમને પ્લે-ઓફમાં લઈ જવામાં નિષ્ફળ રહી. યુએઈમાં રમાયેલી આઈપીએલના બીજા તબક્કામાં ટીમ એકમ તરીકે કામગીરી કરવામાં નિષ્ફળ રહી તે વાતને કોઈ નકારી શકે નહીં. કેટલાક ખેલાડીઓના ખરાબ ફોર્મના કારણે ટીમ પ્લે ઓફમાં સ્થાન મેળવી શકી નથી.
