હિન્દી સિનેમાના પી અભિનેતા, જીતેન્દ્ર તે કલાકારોમાંથી એક છે જેમણે શરૂઆતથી જ ગરીબી જોઈ. નાનપણથી જ તે આર્થિક સમસ્યાઓ સાથે સંઘર્ષ કરી રહ્યો હતો. મધ્યમ વર્ગના પરિવારમાં જન્મેલા જીતેન્દ્રએ ફ્લોરથી ફ્લોર સુધીની અદ્ભુત સફરને આવરી લીધી છે. ઘણી હિટ ફિલ્મો આપનાર જીતેન્દ્રને તેની પ્રથમ ફિલ્મ માત્ર 100 રૂપિયા પ્રતિ માસ માટે સાઇન કરવી પડી હતી અને આશ્ચર્યજનક પણ હતું કે તેને સમયસર નાણાં ન મળ્યા.

શરૂઆતથી જ જીતેન્દ્રએ સંઘર્ષ અને સખત મહેનત કરી છે. તમને જણાવી દઈએ કે એક સમયે મુંબઈમાં ચાલમાં રહેતા જીતેન્દ્ર પોતાના દિવસો પસાર કરતા હતા. જ્યારે તે કોલેજમાં ભણતો હતો ત્યારે તેના માથા પરથી તેના પિતાનો પડછાયો ઉપસી ગયો હતો. જીતેન્દ્રના પિતાનું હાર્ટ એટેકને કારણે અવસાન થયું. આવી સ્થિતિમાં ઘરની જવાબદારીની જવાબદારી પણ જીતેન્દ્રના ખભા પર આવી. પછી અભિનેતાએ કામની લગામ પોતાના હાથમાં લીધો .

જીતેન્દ્રએ ફિલ્મી દુનિયામાં કારકિર્દી બનાવવાનું મન બનાવી લીધું હતું, જોકે કોઈને પણ કામ મેળવવું અને કરવું તેનાથી દૂર હિન્દી સિનેમામાં કારકિર્દી બનાવવી ખૂબ જ મુશ્કેલ છે. પણ કહેવાય છે કે જીતેન્દ્રના પિતાને ફિલ્મ જગત સાથે જોડાયેલા લોકો સાથે બહુ ઓછી ઓળખાણ હતી. તે ફિલ્મોમાં જ્વેલરી સપ્લાય કરતો હતો.

 

જીતેન્દ્રને લગતી વાર્તા, જેના વિશે અમે તમને જણાવવા જઈ રહ્યા છીએ, તેનો ખુલાસો પ્રખ્યાત અભિનેતા અનુ કપૂરે કર્યો હતો. અનુએ તેના રેડિયો શોમાં કહ્યું હતું કે જીતેન્દ્ર સૌપ્રથમ કામના સંદર્ભમાં ફિલ્મ નિર્માતા વી શાંતારામ પાસે ગયા હતા. જીતેન્દ્રએ તેમને કામ માટે પૂછ્યું, જોકે તેમને વી શાંતારામ પાસેથી કામ ન મળ્યું. પરંતુ થોડા દિવસો બાદ વી શાંતારમે જાતે જ જીતેન્દ્રને ફોન કર્યા બાદ ફોન કર્યો.

વી શાંતારામે ફિલ્મમાં જીતેન્દ્રને કામ આપ્યું હતું પરંતુ તેઓ જુનિયર આર્ટિસ્ટ તરીકે ફિલ્મ સાથે જોડાયેલા હતા. ફિલ્મનું નામ ‘સેહરા’ હતું. આ ફિલ્મ વર્ષ 1963 માં રિલીઝ થઈ હતી. જીતેન્દ્રને કહેવામાં આવ્યું હતું કે તેને દરરોજ ફિલ્મના સેટ પર આવવાનું છે, જે દિવસે કોઈ જુનિયર કલાકાર આવશે નહીં, તેને ભાડે રાખવામાં આવશે. તે દર મહિને 105 રૂપિયા માટે આ માટે તૈયાર હતો.

વી શાંતારામે જીતેન્દ્રને પોતાની પહેલી ફિલ્મ ઓફર કરી, અભિનેતાનું નામ બદલ્યું …

બહુ ઓછા લોકો જાણે છે કે જીતેન્દ્રનું સાચું નામ રવિ કપૂર હતું. પણ વી શાંતારામે આ નામ બદલીને જીતેન્દ્ર કર્યું. જણાવી દઈએ કે જીતેન્દ્રને ફિલ્મ ‘સેહરા’ થી કોઈ ફાયદો થયો ન હતો પરંતુ વી શાંતારામે જીતેન્દ્રને તેમની આગામી ફિલ્મ ‘ગીત ગયા પથરોં ને’ માટે મુખ્ય અભિનેતા તરીકે પસંદ કર્યા હતા. જોકે, તેના નાણાંમાં ઘટાડો થયો હતો. શાંતારામે જીતેન્દ્રને કહ્યું કે જો તેને બ્રેક આપવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે તો તેને પણ એટલી જ રકમ મળશે. ત્યારબાદ જીતેન્દ્રને દર મહિને 100 રૂપિયામાં કરાર કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા પરંતુ 6 મહિના સુધી તેમણે પૈસા વગર કામ કર્યું હતું.

 

આ પછી જીતેન્દ્રએ હિન્દી સિનેમાને એકથી વધુ હિટ ફિલ્મો આપી. જીતેન્દ્રએ વર્ષ 1974 માં શોભા કપૂર સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા. બંનેને બે બાળકો પુત્ર તુષાર અને પુત્રી એકતા કપૂર છે.

અહેવાલો અનુસાર, 80 ના દાયકાના પ્રખ્યાત બોલીવુડ અભિનેતા જીતેન્દ્ર આજે કુલ 1500 કરોડ ($ 200 મિલિયન) ના માલિક છે. જીતેન્દ્રની કુલ સંપત્તિમાં અબજોની કિંમતનો તેમનો બંગલો, કરોડોનું કાર અને રોકાણ અને અબજોના પ્રોડક્શન હાઉસનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

જીતેન્દ્ર આવકના સ્ત્રોત

બેકાર હોવા છતાં જીતેન્દ્ર દર વર્ષે 100-200 કરોડ સરળતાથી કમાય છે. તો સૌથી મોટો પ્રશ્ન એ ભો થાય છે કે બેરોજગાર હોવા છતાં જીતેન્દ્ર આટલી કમાણી કેવી રીતે કરે છે? ખરેખર, એક અભિનેતા સિવાય, જીતેન્દ્ર એક ખૂબ જ સફળ નિર્માતા પણ છે. જિતેન્દ્ર ‘બાલાજી ટેલિફિલ્મ્સ’, ‘ઓલ્ટ એન્ટરટેઇનમેન્ટ’ અને ‘બાલાજી મોશન પિક્ચર્સ’ જેવા મોટા અને પ્રખ્યાત પ્રોડક્શન હાઉસના ચેરમેન છે અને તેમની મોટાભાગની આવક તેમની પ્રોડક્શન કારકિર્દીમાંથી આવે છે.
