જ્યારે દેશ કોરોના વાયરસ સામે લડત લડી રહ્યો હતો, ત્યારે સંરક્ષણ સંશોધન અને વિકાસ સંગઠન (ડીઆરડીઓ) એ હૈદરાબાદના ડ Red. રેડ્ડી લેબ્સ સાથે 2-ડિઓક્સી-ડી-ગ્લુકોઝ એટલે કે 2-ડીજી નામની દવા પર કામ કર્યું હતું. લગભગ એક વર્ષની સખત મહેનત પછી, આ દવા બનાવવામાં આવી છે, જે સોમવારે હોસ્પિટલો અને સામાન્ય લોકો માટે બહાર પાડવામાં આવી છે.

આ દવા અંગે ડીઆરડીઓ અને સરકાર દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલી માહિતી અનુસાર, તે હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ દર્દીઓની ઝડપથી પુનપ્રાપ્તિ કરવામાં મદદ કરે છે અને બહારથી ઓક્સિજન પહોંચાડવાનું નિર્ભરતા ઘટાડે છે. મોટી સંખ્યામાં 2-ડીજીવાળા કોવિડ દર્દીઓની સારવારમાં આરટી-પીસીઆર નકારાત્મક પરિણામો જોવા મળ્યાં હતાં.

ડ્રગ ટ્રાયલ દરમિયાન, દર્દીના શરીરમાં વિશિષ્ટ મહત્વપૂર્ણ સંકેતોને લગતા પરિમાણોને સામાન્ય બનાવવા માટે લેવાયેલા સરેરાશ સમયગાળાને સંભાળના ધોરણ (એસઓસી) ની તુલનામાં સારો તફાવત (2.5 દિવસનો તફાવત) માનવામાં આવ્યો છે.

જ્યારે ડીઆરડીઓએ તેની ત્રીજી અજમાયશના પરિણામો જાહેર કર્યા, ત્યારે દર્દીઓના લક્ષણોમાં નોંધપાત્ર પ્રમાણમાં 2-ડીજીના કિસ્સામાં સુધારો જોવા મળ્યો હતો અને ત્રીજા દિવસની તુલનામાં દર્દી પૂરક ઓક્સિજન અવલંબન (42% થી 31%) મુક્ત હતો. એસઓસીને. જે ઓક્સિજન ઉપચારથી પ્રારંભિક રાહતનો સંકેત છે.
