અમદાવાદના મહિલા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ફરજ બજાવી ચૂકેલા મહિલા PI ગીતા પઠાણ અને તેમની બનાવેલી ગેંગ દ્વારા રીતસર લોકોને સોશિયલ મીડિયામાં ફસાવીને ગેંગની યુવતીઓ હોટલમાં લઈ જતી હતી. ત્યાર બાદ કામ પોલીસ ગેગનું શરૂ થતું હતું. જે આ યુવતીના નામે ટાર્ગેટને ફોન કરતી હતી અને પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં બોલાવી સેટલમેન્ટ કરતી હતી. જેમાં અત્યાર સુધી અનેક લોકો ટાર્ગેટ બની ચુક્યા છે. જ્યારે સત્તાવાર રીતે ચાર ફરિયાદમાં પોલીસ અને તેની ગેંગ દ્વારા 26 લાખ રૂપિયા લોકો પાસેથી પડાવી લીધા છે.આ રૂપિયામાં 50 ટકા ભાગ રાખવામાં આવતો હતો. આ સમગ્ર રેકેટમાં વધુ લોકો ફસાયા છે. ગીતા પઠાણ હાલ પાટણ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ફરજ બજાવતા હતા. ક્રાઈમ બ્રાંચમા હનીટ્રેપની ફરીયાદ બાદ ફરાર હતા.
ક્રાઈમ બ્રાંચમા અગાઉ એક વેપારીએ હનીટ્રેપની ફરીયાદ નોંધાવી હતી. જેમા અમદાવાદ ક્રાઇમબ્રાંચે જીતેન્દ્ર ઉર્ફે જીતુ મોદી, બીપીન પરમાર, ઉન્નતી ઉર્ફે રાધીકા રાજપુત અને જાનવી ઉર્ફે જીનલ પઢીયારની ધરપકડ કરી હતી. આ આરોપીની પુછપરછમા PI ગીતા પઠાણની સંડોવણી ખુલતા ક્રાઈમ બ્રાંચે તેમની ધરપકડ કરી છે. પીઆઈ ગીતા પઠાણે આ ટોળકી સાથે મળીને આધેડ પાસેથી રૂપિયા પડાવ્યા હતા. છેલ્લા એક વર્ષમાં પૂર્વ મહિલા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં નોંધાયેલી બળાત્કારની અરજીઓની ક્રાઇમબ્રાંચે તપાસી છે. જેમા ચાર અરજીઓમાં હનીટ્રેપનો ખેલ ખેલાયો હોય તેવુ ખુલ્યુ હતુ.
હનીટ્રેપનો ખેલ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનથી શરૂ થાય છે.કારણ કે પોલીસ કર્મચારીનું ગ્રીન સિગ્નલ મળે ત્યારે ટોળકી પોતાનો ખેલ શરૂ કરે છે અને અંત પણ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં જ થાય છે.આરોપીઓ સોશિયલ મીડિયામાં આધેડ વયના લોકોને પોતાના હુસ્નની જાળમાં ફસાવતી કેટલીક યુવતીઓ સક્રિય કરે છે. આધેડ વયના લોકો સાથે એક મુલાકાત બાદ યુવતી તેમની સાથે શરીર સંબંધ બાંધે છે. શરીર સંબંધ બાંધ્યાં બાદ યુવતી પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં દુષ્કર્મની અરજી કરીને લાખો રૂપિયા ખંખેરી લે છે. એકજ યુવતીએ અલગ અલગ નામ બદલીને પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં અરજી કરતા સમગ્ર મામલો સામે આવ્યો છે. જેમા PI ગીતા પઠાણની મુખ્ય ભુમિકા સામે આવી છે.
અગાઉ રાજકોટમા PI ગીતા પઠાણની લીંચ લેતા ACBએ ધરપકડ કરી હતી. આ ઉપરાંત તેમની વિરૂધ્ધ અનેક અરજીઓ થતા તે વિવાદમા રહ્યાં હતા. PI પઠાણ 2009ની PSIની બેન્ચના છે. PSI પહેલા તે પોલીસ ખાતામા કોન્સ્ટેબલ તરીકે ફરજ બજાવતા હતા. આ દરમ્યાન એમટી વિભાગમા ફરજ બજાવતા પોલીસ કર્મચારી પઠાણ સાથે પ્રેમ થઈ જતા બન્ને પ્રેમ લગ્ન કર્યા હતા. જેથી તેઓ ગીતા પઠાણ થઈ ગયા હતા.
