તાઉ-તે વાવાઝોડું 18મીએ ગુજરાતમાંથી પસાર થવાની શક્યતાઓ જણાય છે. જેને પગલે સુરત જિલ્લાના ત્રણ તાલુકાના દરિયાકાંઠે આવેલા 40 ગામોને એલર્ટ કરી દેવાયા છે. સાથે જ વાવાઝોડું આવે તો સ્થિતિને પહોંચી વળવા માટે એક NDRFની ટીમ પણ તૈનાત રાખવામાં આવી છે. માછીમારોને પણ દરિયામાંથી પરત બોલાવી લેવાયા છે. આ સાથે દરિયાકિનારે આવેલા ઝીંગાના તળાવોમાં રહેતા 800 મજુરોનું સ્થળાંતર પણ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.

વાવાઝોડું પોરબંદરથી પસાર થઈ ફંટાઈ જશે તો સુરતમાં ગાજવીજ સાથે સામાન્ય વરસાદ થઈ શકે છે અને 30થી 40ની સ્પીડે પવન ફૂંકાવાની શક્યતા છે. પાલિકા અને કલેક્ટર તંત્રએ દરિયાકાંઠા નજીકના આભવા, ખજોદ, મગદલ્લા, ગવિયર-ભાઠા, ડુમસના વળવા ફળિયું, હળપતિવાર 1 અને 2, નૌસાત, હળપતિવાસ, પારસી શેરી, ભીમપોર, સુલતાનાબાદ સહિતના ગામના લોકોને સલામત સ્થળે ખસી જવા સૂચના આપી છે.

વાવાઝોડાની અસર સુરત જિલ્લામાં પણ થઈ શકે છે જેને લઈને તમામ તૈયારીઓ કરવામાં આવી. તમામ જિલ્લા કલેક્ટરોને એલર્ટ કરાયા
વાવાઝોડાની અસર દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના દરિયાકાંઠા વિસ્તારમાં પણ થવાની સંભાવના હોવાથી તમામ જિલ્લા કલેકટરોને એલર્ટ રહેવાની સાથે જ સાવચેતીના પગલાં ભરવાના આદેશો કરતા કરાયા હતા. જેના પગલે સુરત જિલ્લા કલેક્ટરે ઇમરજન્સી બેઠક બોલાવી હતી. આ બેઠકમાં સુરત જિલ્લાના ત્રણ તાલુકા ચોર્યાસીના 8, ઓલપાડના 28 અને મજુરાના ચાર ગામો મળીને કુલ્લે 40 ગામો દરિયાકાંઠે આવ્યા હોવાથી તમામ ગામોને એલર્ટ કરી દેવાની સૂચના આપતા જ વહીવટીતંત્ર દોડતું થઇ ગયું હતું.

40 ગામોને એલર્ટ કરવાની સાથે જ પાલિકા અને મામલતદાર, પ્રાંત ઓફિસરની ટીમ પણ તૈનાત કરી દેવાઇ છે. માછીમારોને પણ દરિયામાંથી પરત બોલાવી લેવાયા છે. આ ઉપરાંત વાવાઝોડાની સંભવિત સ્થિતિને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને એક એનડીઆરએફની ટીમ ઓલપાડમાં આવી ગઇ છે.
