આ ઉપરાંત અમરેલી જિલ્લામાં પણ ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા છે. અમરેલીના રાજુલા, જાફરાબાદ સહિત આસપાસના વિસ્તારોમાં કંપન અનુભવાયું હતું. મહત્ત્વનું છે કે ભૂકંપને પગલે સ્થાનિકોમાં ભયનો માહોલ જોવા મળ્યો હતો અને લોકો મધરાતે જ ઘરની બહાર દોડી આવ્યા હતા.
મળતી માહિતી અનુસાર, મધરાતે જે વિસ્તારોમાં ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા છે એ જ જગ્યાએ આજે સાંજે ‘તાઉ-તે’ વાવાઝોડું ટકરાશે તેવી શક્યતા છે.’તાઉ-તે’ વાવાઝોડું સોમવારે ગુજરાતના કાંઠે આશરે 175 કિ.મી.ની ઝડપે ટકરાશે, એને લઈને રાજ્ય સરકારે સંપૂર્ણ તૈયારી કરી હોવાનો દાવો કર્યો છે. આ દરમિયાન વાવાઝોડાની અગમચેતી રૂપે તૈયારીની સમીક્ષા કરવા કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે મુખ્યમંત્રી વિજય રૂપાણી સાથે વીડિયો-કોન્ફરન્સ કરી હતી.
રાજ્યમાં સ્થિતિ બેકાબૂ ના થાય એ માટે સરકારે આર્મી, નૌસેના અને વાયુસેનાને પણ સ્ટેન્ડુ ટુ રહેવાનો નિર્દેશ આપ્યો છે. છે. આ સમીક્ષા બેઠક પછી મહેસૂલ વિભાગના અધિક મુખ્ય સચિવ પંકજ કુમારે કહ્યું કે, વાવાઝોડું દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતથી વેરાવળ તરફ 600 કિ.મી. દૂર છે,
