નીતાબેન કહે છે,‘એક વર્ષ પહેલા મારા પતિનું મૃત્યુ થયું હતું. મારી દીકરી મને કહેતી કે મમ્મી ડરતાં નહીં, તમારી હિંમત જ તમને જિવાડશે. આખી રાત મોઢા તેમજ નાકમાંથી લોહી નીકળતું હતું ત્યારે ડોક્ટર્સ અંદર અંદર વાત કરતા હતા કે દર્દીની છોકરી ખૂબ વિનંતી કરી રહી છે કે ગમે તે થાય, મારાં મમ્મીને જિવાડી દેજો. એ વાત મેં સાંભળી લીધી હતી.

બસ તે જ પળે મને દીકરીની વાત યાદ આવી અને નક્કી કરી લીધું કે મારે મારી દીકરી માટે પરત ફરવાનું જ છે. સૌથી વધારે હિંમત મને ડોક્ટરે આપી હતી. તેઓ મને વારંવાર કહેતા કે તમે ઘણા હિંમતવાન છે, તમારે પરત ઘરે જવાનું જ છે.’

‘હું ધો.11માં હતી ત્યારે ડો.છતવાનીના પિતાની સારવારને કારણે જીવી ગઈ હતી. જેઠ-જેઠાણી બાદ હું પોઝિટિવ આવી. પહેલી વખત 60થી 65 ટકા ઇન્ફેક્શન હતું. રેમડેસિવર, સ્ટિરોઈડ, વૅન્ટિલેટર, ટોસિલિઝુમેબ, બાયપેપ બધું આપ્યું. સીટી સ્કેનમાં જણાયું કે 90 ટકા ફેફસાં ડેમેજ હતાં, સાથે પલ્મોનરી થર્મ્બોલિસિસ થઈ ગયું હતું, જેમાં ક્લોટ થવાથી ફેફ્સાંમાં બ્લડ સપ્લાય નહિ થાય, જેને કારણે ફેફસાંની નસો બ્લોક થતાં તકલીફ વધી. આખી રાત મારા મોઢામાંથી અને નાકમાંથી સતત લોહી નીકળતું હતું. મને થયું કે હવે હું પરત ફરીશ નહિ, પણ થર્મ્બોલિસીસની દવા આપી જેનાથી નસ ખૂલી ને હું જીવી ગઈ.

થોડા વર્ષો પૂર્વે મારા પિતાએ જે દર્દીનો જીવ બચાવ્યો હતો તેમને ફરી અત્યારે આટલા વર્ષ પછી સિવિયર કોરોના હોવાથી એડમિટ કરાયા અને મારા હસ્તક તેમની સારવાર શરૂ કરાઈ. બીજા રિપોર્ટમાં ઇન્ફેક્શન 90 ટકા જણાતાં બચવાની શક્યતા ઓછી હતી. પણ બચાવી શક્યો. – ડો.ચિરાગ છતવાની
