મૂળ સયાજી હોસ્પિટલના અને હાલમાં સમરસ હોસ્ટેલ ના કોરોના વોર્ડમાં ફરજ બજાવતા નર્સના સગા બહેનનું અવસાન થયું હતું અને તેમની અંતિમ વિધિ પુરી કરી ફરી નાઈટ ડ્યૂટી પર હાજર થઈ ગયા હતા. સયાજી હોસ્પિટલમાં નર્સ તરીકે ફરજ બજાવતા શીતલ રાજપૂતને હાલમાં સમરસ હોસ્ટલમાં ડ્યૂટી આપવામાં આવી છે.

શીતલબેનના બહેન સોનલબેન મેકવાન નડિયાદ પાસેના માતર નજીક ત્રાજ ગામે રહેતા હતા. સોનલબેન સરકારી સ્કૂલમાં શિક્ષિકા તરીકે ફરજ બજાવતા હતા. સોનલબેનના પતિનું વર્ષો અગાઉ અવસાન થયું હતું અને દીકરો અને દીકરી સાથે પરિવારનું ગુજરાન ચલાવતા હતા. સોનલબેનની 2 દિવસ પહેલા તબિયત લથડી હતી અને તેમને હોસ્પિટલમાં લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા હતા. પરંતુ, સારવાર મળે એ પહેલા તેમનું પ્રાણપંખેરુ ઉડી ગયું હતું. માતાનું નિધન થતાં તેમના બાળકો પણ અવાચક બની ગયા હતા અને રાત્રે અઢી વાગે તેમના વડોદરા રહેતા માસી એવા હોસ્પિટલ નર્સ શીતલ બેનને કોલ કરી પરિસ્થિતિની જાણ કરી હતી.

શીતલ બેનને તેમની બહેન ના અવસાનના સમાચાર મળતાં જ તેમના પતિ સાથે રાત્રે જ નડિયાદ જવા રવાના થયા હતા અને ત્યાં પહોંચી તેમના બહેનની અંતિમ વિધિ કરી હતી.સામાન્ય રીતે કોઇ સ્વજન નો અવસાન થાય તો સ્વભાવિક છે કે તે દિવસે તો કોઈ પણ હોય તે પોતાની નોકરીમાં હાજર ન થાય પરંતુ ફરજનિષ્ઠ શીતલ રાજપૂત સાંજે વડોદરા પરત ફર્યા હતા અને રાતે સમરસ હોસ્ટેલમાં કોરોનાના દર્દીઓ ની સારવાર કરવા ફરજ પર હાજર થઈ ગયા હતા.

શીતલ રાજપૂતે જણાવ્યું હતું કે બેન ગુમાવવાનો શોક હોય તે સ્વાભાવિક છે પરંતુ તેની સાથોસાથ કોરોનાના દર્દીઓની સારવાર કરવી એ મારી ફરજનો ભાગ છે. ઉલ્લેખનીય છેકે શીતલબેનના બહેન સોનલબેનના પતિનું વર્ષો અગાઉ અવસાન થયું હતું અને દીકરો અને દીકરી સાથે પરિવારનું ગુજરાન ચલાવતા હતા.
