રાજસ્થાનના ક્રિકેટર વિવેક યાદવનું કોરોનાથી અવસાન થયું છે. તે 36 વર્ષનો હતો. પૂર્વ લેગ સ્પિનર અને રણજી ટ્રોફી વિજેતા ટીમના સભ્ય વિવેક યાદવના પરિવારમાં પત્ની અને પુત્રી છે. પ્રાપ્ત માહિતી અનુસાર, વિવેક યાદવને કેન્સર હતું. તે જયપુરની એક હોસ્પિટલમાં કેમોથેરપી માટે ગયો હતો. આ સમય દરમિયાન તે ટેસ્ટમાં કોવિડ -19 પોઝિટિવ હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું હતું. બુધવારે તેમનું અવસાન થયું.
દેશના પૂર્વ ઓપનર આકાશ ચોપડાએ વિવેક યાદવના નિધન પર ટ્વિટ કર્યું છે. તેમણે ટ્વીટ કર્યું, ‘રાજસ્થાનનો રણજી ખેલાડી અને નજીકનો મિત્ર વિવેક યાદવ હવે આ દુનિયામાં નથી. ભગવાન તેમના આત્માને શાંતિ આપતા હતા. હું તેના પરિવાર સાથે દુdખ વ્યક્ત કરું છું.’
વિવેક યાદવે 18 ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ મેચોમાં 57 વિકેટ લીધી હતી. તેણે 2010-111 માં રણજી ટ્રોફીની ફાઇનલ રમી હતી. આ તેની ઘરેલુ ક્રિકેટ કારકિર્દીની સૌથી મહત્વપૂર્ણ મેચ હતી. વિવેકે તેની છેલ્લી મેચ 30 વર્ષની ઉંમરે પહોંચતા પહેલા રમી હતી.
વર્ષ ૨૦૧૨ માં, તે દિલ્હી ડેરડેવિલ્સ સામે ઈન્ડિયન પ્રીમિયર લીગ માટેની ટીમમાં હતો. તેણે રાજસ્થાન તરફથી 18 ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ અને આઠ લિસ્ટ એ મેચ તેમજ ચાર ટી 20 મેચ રમી હતી. રોહતકમાં જન્મેલા યાદવે રાજસ્થાન તરફથી ઘરેલું ક્રિકેટ રમ્યું હતું અને વર્ષ ૨૦૧૦-૧૧ની સિઝનમાં Hષિકેશ કનીટકરની અધ્યક્ષતામાં ટીમના નિયમિત સભ્ય હતા. તે જ જયપુરમાં જ તેણે તેની એકેડેમી શરૂ કરી હતી, જેમાં આકાશ સિંહ જેવી યુવા પ્રતિભાઓને માવજત કરી હતી, જે આઈપીએલમાં ભારત અંડર -19 ટીમ અને રાજસ્થાન રોયલ્સ તરફથી રમતા હતા.
