મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ્સ અનુસાર, જો ડોમિનિકન કોર્ટ મેહુલ ચોક્સીની દેશનિકાલનો આદેશ આપે છે, તો ભારતીય અધિકારીઓની એક ટીમ તેને ખાનગી જેટમાં નવી દિલ્હી લાવશે. શારદા રાઉત તેની ધરપકડ કરશે.
શારદા રાઉત 2005 ની બેચના આઈપીએસ અધિકારી છે. તેનો જન્મ મહારાષ્ટ્રના નાસિકમાં થયો હતો. પાલઘરમાં એસપી રહીને શારદા રાઉતે આ અપરાધ ઉપર ઘણી હદ સુધી નિયંત્રણ મેળવ્યું હતું. પોલીસ વિભાગમાં શારદા રાઉતની કાર્યશૈલી અને પ્રામાણિકતાની પ્રશંસા કરવામાં આવી છે.સુનાવણીમાં ભારતનું યોગ્ય પ્રતિનિધિત્ થાય તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરવા માટે ભારતીય અધિકારીઓએ ડોમિનિકન અધિકારીઓ સાથે ઘણી બેઠકો કરી છે.ઇડી ડોમિનિકન કોર્ટમાં એક એફિડેવિટ પણ આપશે, જેમાં મેહુલ ચોક્સીની ગુનાહિત પ્રવૃત્તિઓ અંગે ખુલાસો કરવામાં આવશે. તે ભારતીય નાગરિક કેવી છે અને કયા કારણોસર તેને ભારત દેશનિકાલ કરવામાં આવે છે. ઇડી અને સીબીઆઈ એ સમજાવવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરશે કે તેમની કસ્ટડીમાં રહેલી વ્યક્તિ જાન્યુઆરી 2018 થી ભારતમાં એક વોન્ટેડ આરોપી છે.
